Chloe Lynn Hodge, 17, of Huntsville, Ohio, died at 4:32 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, from injuries sustained in a January 25th, 2024, automobile accident.

She was born on October 10, 2006, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Breanna (Brady) Baier of Huntsville and Brooks (Mia) Hodge of Bellefontaine.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Gavin Clay of Huntsville, Mikayla Hodge, Nixon Hodge and Carsyn Warnecke, all of Bellefontaine, grandparents, Charles Sr. and Vivian Bland and Jim and Miriam Baier, all of Huntsville, Melanie and Bill Gilroy of Bellefontaine, Tim Hodge of Lakeview, great grandmothers, Janet Bland of Huntsville and Wilma Skelly of Bellefontaine, Linda Young of Huntsville, Liza Frank, and Charles Gariety, a nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Taci Young, and her great grandparents, Mike Young, Donald Eugene Skelly, Charles William “Ted” Bland, Robert Glen and Ruby Baker, Richard Dean and Rose Leigh Baier, and a cousin, Scott Derek Rollins.

Chloe was a junior at Indian Lake High School, she was enrolled in the Health Careers Academy at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center and was employed at Hurley’s Farm Market in Huntsville.  Blessed with a generous, loving heart, her love and generosity live on through her donation of organs and tissue.

Kylie Marie Faye Eaton, 16, of Bellefontaine, went into the arms of Jesus on March 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Kylie courageously fought a nearly six-year battle with medulloblastoma, displaying strength and grace far beyond her years.

Kylie was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Don Davidson, Howard Miller, and Carl Prosser, and her great-grandmother, Betty Davidson, grandmother, Cheryl Blankenship and her beloved dog, Zeus. She is survived by her parents, Bill (Lacey) Eaton and Joanna Eaton (Brian Blankenship); her siblings Caden Zerkle, Evan Eaton, Alexsis VanSchoyck, Weston VanSchoyck, Brian (Hannah) Blankenship Jr., Ethan Blankenship, Megan Blankenship, and Malachi Blankenship.

She is also survived by her grandparents Ray Eaton and Chris Edwards, Debra Eaton, Joe and Deb Davidson, Jeff and Linda Crisp, Laurie Briggs, and Butch and Elizabeth Blankenship, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Among those closest to her was a special friend and mentor, Jill Robbins, whom Kylie considered the most influential person in her life and her boyfriend Chris Morris. Kylie also had her sweet cat, Pumpkin, who Kylie adored.

A student at Bellefontaine High School, Kylie was involved in cheerleading, Girl Scouts, and choir. She was recently recognized as the CBC Athlete of the Month, a testament to her determination and team spirit. Kylie had a deep and unwavering faith, and she loved attending church and sharing her joy with others.

Creative and thoughtful, Kylie spent countless hours crafting personalized gifts in the comfort of her beloved “she-shed.” Her heart was enormous—she gave love freely and fiercely, always showing up for her friends and family, even on her hardest days. Her radiant smile and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Despite the challenges she faced, Kylie never let cancer define her. She lived her life with confidence, courage, and an unshakable sense of purpose. Even in her final moments, she held to her motto: “I don’t stop when I’m tired, I stop when I’m done.”

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the local community and the many organizations throughout the state whose support and generosity over the past six years have meant the world.

A Gathering of family and friends will be from 1-5 pm, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave, Bellefontaine, with Pastor Jim Frost beginning services at 5:00 pm In lieu of flowers, donations in Kylie’s honor may be made to Logan County Angels Foundation at logancountyangels.org. Justice was born on September 9, 2014, in Bellefontaine. He is the son of Erin and Jonathan Griffiths of Bellefontaine, and Pahl and Tiffany Ritter of Huntsville, OH. Roo is survived by his parents, 15 siblings; Lindsey Bodi, Joshua Ritter, Justin Ritter, Lilly Phillips, Ava Phillips, Eelyah Ritter, Abby Phillips, Bella Phillips, John Pahl Ritter, Eeverly Griffiths, Eevonne Ritter, Lynne Griffiths, Gideon Griffiths, JJ Griffiths, and Owen Griffiths, many fosters brothers and sisters, grandparents; Elaine Renteria, Roger and Jackie Rollins, Cheryl Griffiths, Duane and Kim Ritter, Bev Glasgow, and Tom and Betty Bodi, aunts and uncles, Cierra and Brian Claybaugh, Morgan Rollins, Maria and Finn Payne, Joseph and Jesse Bonfiglio, Whitney and Aaron Pippin, Jake and Emmalee Horn, Teisha Ritter, and Tabbi Ritter, and several cousins. Roo is preceded in death by grandparents, John Jordan, Butch Griffiths, Florence Pahl, Ron and Yvonne Oaks, and William Glasgow, Sr.

Roo was a 5th grader at Indian Lake Middle School. He loved Batman, watching Christmas lights, and everything musically. Although for most people their comfort items include a stuffed animal or blanky, Roo enjoyed the rhythmic sound of his “RattleBall”. Roo had an infectious smile, and loving demeanor that made those who met him immediately feel a connection and friendship bud. To receive one of Roo’s hugs was the greatest gift he could give to a person, and the loving warmth could be felt throughout. Roo’s bravery and fight throughout his life was a testament and lesson that those who knew him will carry with them and miss him greatly.

Pastor Tim Moebs will begin funeral services at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview. Visitation will be Friday, December 12th from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.

Shawn was born on May 1, 2014, in Bellefontaine, OH, a son of Jristian L. (Bailey) Humphrey, who survives in Lakeview, and Justice N.J. (Zane Robinson) Oyer, who survives in Union City, OH. He is preceded in death by great grandparents, Cinda and Edward Dickinson, Roland Harrington, Jackie and Les Hofacker, Jim Dickerson, Chuck Wise, and Bill Zimmer, Sr., aunt, Tabitha Hollar, and uncles, Caleb Zwiebel, Bill Zimmer, Jr. and Danny Zimmer.

Shawn is survived by his parents, four siblings, Clinton Humphrey, Paisley Dickerson, Ella Humphrey, and Nova Robinson, Paternal grandparents, Jim and Michelle Humphrey of Lakeview, Lannie Blosser of Knoxville, TN, and Mike and Polly Dickerson of Bellefontaine, maternal grandparents, Misty Stachler of Union City, and Jason and Katisha Robinson of West Mansfield, OH, great grandparents, Jim and Bonnie Humphrey, Marlene Wise, Linda Raye Blosser, Reta Catterson, Marie Harrington, and Betty Dickerson, aunts and uncles, Cory and Angela Oyer, Jamie Humphrey, Jaydee Humphrey, Rachael and Matt Gordon, Reta and Karissa Boop, Billie (Seth Epps) Boop, Zachary Gonterman, Cody Stachler, Connor (Kierstin) Dickerson, Glen (Tiffany) Dickerson, Charles Newland, and Chad (Sonya) Harrington, and several cousins.

Shawn is a 6th grader at Indian Lake Middle School. He was an extremely active individual, playing flag football in Bellefontaine and Tipp City, playing baseball in Union City, playing basketball in Bellefontaine, and Union City singing in the ILMS choir and playing percussion instruments in Band at Union City. He enjoyed video games, going to concerts, singing, dancing, and being outside, riding his skateboard, dirt bike, and bicycle, fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking, where he would rock hunt and look for hidden waterfalls. Shawn was a friendly and engaging person who loved meeting people, he never knew a stranger and would win others over with his contagious smile. His greatest time was spent with his family and friends.

Rich Szima will begin funeral services at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, with visitation from 1-3 pm.
